A less-visited national park in south-central Utah following the Waterpocket Fold, a nearly 100-mile warp in the Earth's crust exposing layers of colorful sandstone. The historic Fruita district within the park preserves an early Mormon settlement with a working orchard where visitors may pick fruit in season. Scenic Drive, Cathedral Valley, and the Capitol Gorge offer distinct landscapes from white domed slickrock to red canyon walls. The park sees significantly fewer visitors than nearby Arches and Zion.
