Hurricane Ridge is a subalpine area in Olympic National Park at 5,242 feet, reached by a 17-mile road from Port Angeles that gains over 5,000 feet of elevation. On clear days the ridge offers sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains interior, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the mountains of Vancouver Island. Black-tailed deer and Olympic marmots are commonly encountered along the meadow trails, and the area is one of few places where all four of Olympic National Park's ecosystems are accessible from a single point.
