Snoqualmie Falls is an 268-foot waterfall on the Snoqualmie River in the Cascade foothills east of Seattle, one of the most visited natural attractions in Washington State. The volume of water over the falls is substantially augmented by a hydroelectric diversion that returns water to the river above the drop during peak generation periods. Observation decks at both the upper and lower levels provide distinct perspectives, and a 0.5-mile trail descends through western red cedar and bigleaf maple forest to the spray zone at the base.
