Yosemite Valley is a glacially carved, seven-mile-long trench set within Yosemite National Park, enclosed by nearly vertical granite walls rising up to 3,600 feet. The valley floor contains meadows, the Merced River, and iconic landmarks including El Capitan, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls. Valley View on the western approach and Tunnel View at the eastern entrance of Wawona Tunnel are among the most frequented photography vantages in the American West.
