A river descending from the interior highlands of Viti Levu through pristine rainforest gorges to the south coast, the Navua River is one of Fiji's most scenic inland waterways. River jet-boat tours navigate the lower river while inflatable kayak and raft trips traverse the upper gorge sections passing waterfalls, traditional village settlements, and dense tropical vegetation. The upper Navua gorge has designated protected status within the Upper Navua Conservation Area.
