The third-largest island in Fiji and known as the Garden Island, Taveuni straddles the 180th meridian and supports some of the most pristine rainforest in the Pacific. The Bouma National Heritage Park protects three tiered waterfalls descending into pools within the forest interior. The Somosomo Strait between Taveuni and Vanua Levu contains the Rainbow Reef, considered one of the top soft-coral dive sites in the world.
