Remarkable Rocks are a collection of granite boulders perched on a domed headland on the southern coast of Kangaroo Island within Flinders Chase National Park. Each boulder has been individually shaped by centuries of salt spray and wind into hollowed, angular, and curvilinear forms, some appearing to balance precariously on the smooth granite platform. Orange lichen growth on the pale granite surface intensifies in colour at sunrise and sunset, making the site particularly effective photographically in low light.
