Noosa Heads sits at the southern end of the Cooloola section of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, where Noosa National Park's headland shelters a series of small surf beaches. Hastings Street, the main commercial strip, runs parallel to the main Noosa beach and is lined with cafes, independent boutiques, and the passage to the national park walking tracks. The Noosa River and its hinterland wetlands extend inland, supporting diverse waterbird populations.
