Wineglass Bay occupies a perfectly curved arc of white sand within Freycinet National Park on Tasmania's east coast, framed on both sides by granite peaks of the Hazards range. The view from the saddle lookout above the bay reveals the wine-glass outline that gives the location its name. The beach is accessible only on foot via a 45-minute walk up and over the saddle, preserving a relatively natural foreshore.
