Siquijor is a small island province in the Visayas known historically for its association with folk healing and ritual practices that have attracted cultural curiosity alongside its natural beauty. The island's beaches — particularly Salagdoong, a white-sand bay with a small reef — and its clear waters for snorkelling and freediving have developed a quieter resort economy than neighbouring Bohol. Cambugahay Falls, a multi-tiered cascade set in tropical vegetation with rope swings above the pools, is the island's most visited natural attraction.
