Cần Thơ

The largest city in the Mekong Delta, Cần Thơ is the principal hub for exploring the delta's waterway network and is the location of the Cái Răng floating market, the most photogenic and commercially active of the region's river markets. Dawn on the water here involves dozens of boats trading wholesale produce while smaller vessels circulate selling coffee and noodle soups. Colonial-era shophouses line the riverside promenade and the Ninh Kiều Wharf area provides easy access to canal sampan tours.
