Phu Kradueng National Park protects the Phu Kradueng plateau in Loei Province, a sandstone mesa rising to approximately 1,325 metres and covering roughly 60 square kilometres. The ascent requires a 9-kilometre hike with significant elevation gain and porters are available to carry equipment. The plateau surface is forested with mixed deciduous and pine trees, and seasonal wildflowers cover open meadows in late monsoon and cool season. The park is closed during the monsoon months from June to September and has no vehicle access to the summit.
