Pattaya

Pattaya is a coastal resort city in Chonburi Province on the eastern Gulf of Thailand coast, approximately 150 kilometres southeast of Bangkok. The city expanded rapidly from a small fishing village following the Vietnam War era and now comprises a dense commercial strip along the bay and extending inland. The offshore island of Ko Larn offers cleaner water and less congested beaches than the mainland. Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, approximately 15 kilometres south of the city centre, is an extensive botanical and cultural attraction set across 600 acres.
