Railay is a small peninsula in Krabi Province accessible only by longtail boat owing to the sheer limestone cliffs that cut it off from the mainland road network. It contains four distinct beaches — Railay East, Railay West, Phra Nang, and Ton Sai — each with different character, from mudflat mangrove to pristine white sand. Phra Nang Beach, at the southern tip, is enclosed by towering karst walls and ranked among the most visually striking beaches in Thailand. Rock climbers are drawn to the area's vertical limestone faces.
