Amphawa Floating Market operates along a canal in Samut Songkhram Province and is considered more authentic in character than its more famous counterpart at Damnoen Saduak. Vendors sell grilled seafood, traditional sweets, and fresh produce from boats and canalside stalls on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Fireflies illuminate the canal after dark during certain months, drawing photographers. The surrounding old town preserves traditional wooden shophouses and Buddhist temples.
