A mountain rising sharply above Zhangjiajie city, Tianmen is distinguished by a natural archway — a 131-metre-tall opening through the rock face — and by a cliffside walkway known as the Coiling Dragon Cliff that traces the mountain's outer edge. The world's longest cable car ascends nearly 7.5 kilometres from the city to the summit plateau. The arch becomes illuminated at night in a program visible from the valley.
