Wuzhen is a canal-laced water town in northern Zhejiang whose western precinct has been preserved as a pedestrian heritage district. Covered walkways run along dark-timbered canal banks lit by red lanterns at dusk, creating the most atmospheric evening photography conditions in the Yangtze Delta region. The town is also known for its traditional blue-and-white cotton printing workshops.
