Carved into steep hillsides above the Long River valley, these terraced fields date back roughly 700 years and remain actively farmed by Zhuang and Yao minority communities. The best-known viewpoint, Dazhai village, frames the terraces as a series of ascending curved bands. Water-filled fields in late spring and golden harvests in October produce the two most celebrated photographic windows.
