Located about 150 kilometres east of Antananarivo, this park complex is the most accessible primary rainforest in Madagascar and the primary stronghold of the indri, the island's largest living lemur. The indri's haunting wailing calls carry through the dense canopy each morning, providing a singular acoustic experience. Adjacent reserves extend the protected area and offer quieter trails away from the main tourist circuits.
