An eroded sandstone massif in south-central Madagascar, Isalo presents a landscape of deep canyons, natural swimming pools fed by clear streams, and wind-sculpted rock formations. The park contains endemic plant communities adapted to its semi-arid conditions alongside ring-tailed lemurs and various birds. Hikers traverse marked trails connecting natural oases shaded by traveller's palms.
