The Eastern Highlands along Zimbabwe's border with Mozambique form a green mountain range rising above the Mozambican lowlands, centred on the resort town of Nyanga. Montane grasslands, mist-forest ravines, and waterfalls characterise the landscape, which is cooler and wetter than most of Zimbabwe. The Nyangani peak, Zimbabwe's highest point at 2,592 metres, and the Mutarazi Falls — the country's highest — are the principal natural landmarks.
