Covering nearly two million hectares of lowveld savanna in northeastern South Africa, Kruger is the flagship of the country's national park system and one of Africa's largest game reserves. It supports all of the Big Five alongside cheetah, wild dog, and more than 500 bird species. The network of sealed and gravel roads allows self-drive safaris, while numerous rest camps offer accommodation at varying price points.
