Al Ain Oasis

Inscribed as part of the UNESCO Al Ain Cultural Sites, this vast date-palm oasis at the heart of Al Ain city is threaded by a network of traditional falaj irrigation channels that have sustained cultivation for thousands of years. Shaded pathways wind between thousands of date palms and fruit trees, maintaining cool temperatures even in the height of summer. The contrast of dense greenery against the surrounding desert is striking from elevated viewpoints.
