A karst cave system near Kutaisi in western Georgia, Prometheus Cave extends over 1,400 meters of accessible passages through chambers containing stalactites, stalagmites, cave pearls, and underground rivers and lakes. The cave's formations are illuminated with colored lighting, and a boat ride on the subterranean river is part of the standard visitor route. The site sits near the Sataplia Nature Reserve, which contains Cretaceous dinosaur trackways on a preserved limestone surface.
