Malbun is Liechtenstein's sole ski resort, a compact village at 1,600 metres in the Saminatal valley in the east of the principality. The ski area offers gentle to intermediate terrain particularly suited to families and beginners, with the surrounding Rätikon mountains providing a backdrop of rocky ridgelines. Malbun is among the smallest national ski resorts in the Alps, situated in one of the smallest sovereign states in the world.
