Llogara National Park sits on a mountain pass at over 1,000 metres above the Albanian Riviera, where the Ceraunian Mountains descend sharply to the Ionian Sea below. The pass affords one of the most dramatic coastal panoramas in the Balkans, with the full arc of the Albanian Riviera, the island of Corfu, and the Greek coast visible on clear days. The forest on the mountain slopes contrasts sharply with the arid coastal terrain below, and the park's pine forest is habitat for several bird of prey species.
