Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro

Sicily's first natural reserve, Lo Zingaro protects seven kilometers of coastline on the northwestern tip of the island between San Vito lo Capo and Scopello, featuring a succession of small coves with clear water alternating with macchia scrubland and limestone cliffs. The coastal trail connects the coves and passes caves once inhabited in prehistoric times. The absence of roads within the reserve has preserved a coastal landscape typical of pre-modern Sicily.
