A vertical village of pastel-painted houses cascading down a steep coastal cliff into a small pebble beach, Positano is the most photographed town on the Amalfi Coast. The narrow pedestrian lanes, bougainvillea-draped staircases, and the dome of Santa Maria Assunta provide layered foregrounds against the Tyrrhenian Sea. Morning light from the hillside above the town renders the facade colors at their most saturated.

Where next?

The world is wide open.
