The Seceda ridgeline above Ortisei in the Val Gardena presents one of the most compositionally striking views in the Dolomites: a long, serrated escarpment sweeping across the skyline above a gently sloping alpine pasture. A gondola from Ortisei reaches the upper station, from which a short walk leads to the main viewpoint. The scene is especially effective in early morning when mist lingers in the valley below.
