Lago di Braies

Nestled at the foot of the Seekofel massif in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, this emerald-green alpine lake is one of the most photographed in the Dolomites. The classic composition places a small wooden rowboat dock against the sheer limestone walls that rise directly from the northern shore. Early morning light before 7 a.m. from June through September delivers still-water reflections before day-trippers arrive.
