Playa de Benijo is a remote black-sand beach in the Anaga Rural Park at the northeastern tip of Tenerife, backed by dramatic basalt columns and sea stacks that create one of the most photogenic coastal compositions on the island. The beach is accessible only by foot from the village of Benijo above and is unprotected from Atlantic swell, making it unsuitable for swimming but outstanding for landscape photography, particularly in the low light of late afternoon. The offshore rocks known as Los Roques de Anaga provide the classic foreground element for wide-angle compositions.
