Monte Toro is the highest point on Menorca at 358 metres, crowned by a 17th-century Augustinian sanctuary dedicated to the patron of the island, the Mare de Déu del Toro. On clear days the summit panorama encompasses the full extent of Menorca from the northern coast to the southern coves, as well as views toward Mallorca and occasionally the Pyrenees. The site combines religious pilgrimage tradition with its role as the island's primary geographic viewpoint.
