The Caminito del Rey is a narrow walkway pinned to the sheer walls of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes gorge in Málaga province. Originally built in the early 20th century to service a hydroelectric scheme, it was restored and reopened in 2015 with new wooden boardwalks and safety railings. The four-kilometre route passes through tunnels, across suspended bridges, and beside rock faces rising over 300 metres from the canyon floor.
