Cabo Finisterre (Cape Finisterre) is the westernmost point of continental Spain and was long regarded in medieval Christian tradition as the end of the known world. Many pilgrims extend their Camino journey here after reaching Santiago de Compostela. The lighthouse headland offers dramatic Atlantic cliff scenery and is particularly photogenic at sunset when the ocean stretches uninterrupted to the horizon.
