The Costa Brava stretches from Blanes northward to the French border, a rugged coastline of rocky coves, pine-clad headlands, and transparent waters. Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, sits at the northern end within a natural park and provides stark, windswept scenery favoured by landscape photographers. Medieval villages such as Begur and Pals are set just inland.
