Perched above the turquoise Zahara-El Gastor reservoir in the Sierra de Grazalema, this whitewashed village is crowned by a Moorish castle tower visible for kilometres. The interplay of white facades, cobalt reservoir water, and mountain backdrop makes it a prime photography subject at sunrise. It lies within the Grazalema Natural Park, one of Spain's rainiest and most biodiverse upland zones.
