One of the Loire Valley's best-preserved Renaissance châteaux, completed in 1634 and continuously inhabited by the same aristocratic family for nearly four centuries. The grand classical facade in white Touraine tuff and the intact period interiors — tapestries, painted ceilings, antique furniture — represent the finest example of a furnished Loire residence. A working pack of hunting hounds is still maintained on the estate.
