A quiet fishing village on the Curonian Spit — the narrow sand peninsula forming the western boundary of the Curonian Lagoon — surrounded on three sides by water and dunes within the Neringa municipality. The village retains its character as a working settlement, with traditional fishermen's cottages and smoke-dryers for preserving eel. The lagoon side offers calm water reflections at dawn, while the dune side is only a short walk across to the Baltic beach.
