A national park in the Samogitian Highlands of western Lithuania centred on Lake Plateliai, the largest lake in the Samogitian uplands. The park encompasses gently rolling glacial terrain covered by mixed forest, with an unusual concentration of peat bogs, spring-fed streams, and ancient mounds. A Cold War-era nuclear missile base within the park has been converted into a museum, adding a distinctive layer of 20th-century history to the natural landscape.
