Finland's southernmost and most species-rich national park protects an outer archipelago of treeless skerries, wind-eroded rocky islets, and sheltered bays in the Gulf of Archipelago between the Finnish mainland and the Åland Islands. The park is primarily a marine area accessible by boat, with a network of camping spots and guest harbours on select islands. Grey seal colonies haul out on exposed reefs, and the diversity of seabirds is among the highest in Scandinavia.
