Tjörn

An island in the Bohuslän archipelago on Sweden's west coast, connected to the mainland and neighbouring islands by bridges. The smooth granite coastline, small fishing villages, and open-water views have attracted artists since the late 19th century; the Nordic Watercolour Museum on the island reflects this heritage. The western shores face open sea and are exposed to the Atlantic weather that gives the Bohuslän coast its dramatic character.
