A vast network of roughly 30,000 islands, islets, and skerries stretching east from Stockholm into the Baltic Sea. The outer archipelago offers stark, wave-polished granite dotted with wind-bent pines, while the inner islands host red-painted cottages and calm waterways navigable by kayak or ferry.
