Vík is Iceland's southernmost village, a small settlement sitting beneath the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and above the black-sand coast of Reynisfjara. The church on the hill above the village is a landmark visible from many directions, and the basalt sea stacks of Reynisdrangar dominate the view to the west. Vík lies on the Ring Road and is a practical base for exploring the South Coast.
