A steep, isolated mountain rising from the north coast of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Kirkjufell is among the most photographed peaks in Iceland. Its symmetrical, arrow-like profile is most famously captured alongside the twin cascades of Kirkjufellsfoss in the foreground. Autumn auroras and golden-hour light from the north make it a prime subject throughout the year.
