Eight buildings distill Frank Lloyd Wright's idea of 'organic architecture': plans opened up, walls dissolved toward the landscape, steel and concrete pressed into unprecedented service. The series runs from Fallingwater, cantilevered over its Pennsylvania waterfall, to the spiralling Guggenheim Museum in New York, spanning the first half of the 20th century and shaping modernism far beyond America. UNESCO inscribed the group in 2019.
