The Jack Singer Concert Hall is the main auditorium of Arts Commons in downtown Calgary, opened in 1985 and home to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Seating around 1,800, it is noted for its fine acoustics and houses a large Carthy pipe organ that is a centrepiece of the hall. It hosts symphonic concerts, recitals and a variety of touring performances. The wider Arts Commons complex around it is one of the largest arts centres in Canada, gathering several theatres under one roof.
