Bach Thao Park, sometimes called the Hanoi Botanical Garden, occupies a wooded hillside near the presidential palace in the capital's government quarter. Established during the colonial period as an experimental garden, it retains many mature and exotic trees planted over a century ago, along with a small hill offering views and a lake. Its winding, shaded paths make it a quiet spot for morning walks and birdwatching in one of Hanoi's greenest corners. Its age and tree collection give it real botanical interest.
