The Parco degli Acquedotti is a public park in the southeastern outskirts of Rome, named for the ancient aqueducts whose ruined arches march across its open grassland. Part of the larger Appian Way regional park, it preserves long stretches of the Aqua Claudia and other Roman water conduits amid fields and umbrella pines. The dramatic ruins have featured in several films and draw photographers at sunrise and sunset. Footpaths and cycle routes cross the flat terrain beneath the towering brick arcades.
