St Ann's Square is a pedestrian square in central Manchester that developed in the early 18th century around St Ann's Church, whose Baroque tower still closes one end. Once the site of an annual fair, it became a fashionable promenade and later a focus for civic gatherings and floral tributes. The square is paved in stone, lined with shops and cafés, and features a cotton-flower sculpture recalling the city's textile heritage. It connects to the shopping streets of the Royal Exchange and the wider Victorian core.
