Located in the Presbítero Maestro cemetery area of Lima, this mausoleum holds the remains of soldiers who died in the War of the Pacific against Chile in the late nineteenth century. A grand marble structure crowned by a winged figure of victory shelters the tombs of national heroes, including Francisco Bolognesi, in a solemn columned hall. Inaugurated in the early twentieth century, it serves as a pantheon where the state honors military sacrifice, with ceremonial guards and annual commemorations of one of Peru's most painful conflicts.
